| Mechanism of Action |

Oxytetracycline – LA is a unique formulation
which create a depot effect at the site of injection. Some oxytetracycline
is released immediately resulting in high intial blood levels.
Thereafter oxytetracycline continues to enter the blood stream
through a controlled release mechanism over a period of three to
four days to maintain therapeutic blood levels. |

Oxytetracycline –LA is recommended in the treatment of diseases
caused by Oxytetracline susceptible organisms in livestock.
Cattle , buffaloes , sheep , goats, and pigs : Pasturellosis, Mastitis,
Metritis, Pneuminia, foot root, Leptospirosis, Anaplasmosis, Theileriosis.
To check secondary bacterial complication following viral infection,
Hog Cholera, Swine fever etc. |
